Overview:

This internship will include field compliance of authorized industrial uses on public lands. The intern will be expected to review the project case file, navigate to project in the field, GPS existing projects, and write formal compliance inspection forms. Project/uses include communication sites, power lines, renewable energy, and other industrial uses on public lands. Inter will be expected to identify uses on public land, read/create maps, and efficiently review case files. This position is half field and half office work. Housing is not provided.

Schedule: 4- 10's or 5- 8's between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday- Friday

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, organize and review administrative records
  • Perform compliance exams in the field
  • GPS current uses and maintains a database of collected data
  • Create and read maps

Qualifications:

  • Basic Computer skills
  • Experience reading map and navigating to remote locations
  • Administrative office experience
  • GPS/GIS knowledge
